Our History

How it Started

Established in 1978, the first Value Drug Mart store marked the beginning of a legacy dedicated to providing a personalized and community-focused approach to pharmacy. In 1982, Value Drug Mart expanded its product range to include personal care items and home goods, further solidifying its reputation as a trusted and essential store within the communities it serves. Following in its footsteps, our sister brand, Apple Drugs, opened its first location in 1996, expanding the company’s commitment to serving local communities.

Now, in 2024, our network has grown to nearly 40 locations across Canada, with new openings on the horizon, ensuring we’re always here to serve you better!
