1. Contest Overview

Nominate a local charity in your community for a chance to win a $1,000 donation! The nominated organization must be a Canadian registered charity or non-profit with a valid charity number. No purchase necessary to enter.

2. Contest Dates

The contest begins on December 1, 2024, at 12:00 AM (Mountain Time) and ends on December 31, 2024, at 11:59 PM (Mountain Time).

3. Eligibility

• Participants: Open to residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 18 years of age or older.
• Excluded Participants: Employees, directors, officers, and representatives of Value Drug Mart and Apple Drug locations, as well as their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members, are not eligible to participate.

4. Entry Requirements

• How to Enter: Visit our Value Drug Mart and Apple Drugs website to nominate a charity, including its valid charity number. Only participating locations listed on the entry form are eligible for this promotion.
• No Purchase Necessary: Entry does not require any purchase or payment.

5. Charity Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the $1,000 donation, nominated charities must meet the following criteria:

• Be a registered charity or non-profit organization with a valid charity number, recognized by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
• Operate within Canada.
• Serve the local community in which the nominating Value Drug Mart or Apple Drug location is based.

6. Prize

• Prize Description: One (1) $1,000 donation will be awarded to the winning charity, nominated by a contest entrant.
• Prize Value: $1,000 CAD.
• The prize is non-transferable and must be accepted as awarded. No substitutions are permitted.

7. Winner Selection and Notification

• A random draw will take place on January 5, 2025, to select the winning charity from all eligible entries.
• The selected charity and the entrant who nominated them will be contacted via the contact information provided on the entry form.
• If the winning charity does not meet the eligibility requirements, an alternate winner will be selected.

8. Privacy and Data Collection

• Personal information collected from entrants will be used solely for the purpose of administering the contest.
• By entering, participants consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information for the purpose of administering the contest in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
• The names of the winning charity and nominating entrant may be published by Value Drug Mart and Apple Drug for promotional purposes related to this contest.

9. Limitation of Liability

• By entering, participants release Value Drug Mart, Apple Drug, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any liability related to the contest or prize.

10. General Conditions

• By participating, entrants agree to abide by these rules and regulations.
• Value Drug Mart and Apple Drug reserve the right to disqualify any entry that does not meet the eligibility criteria or is found to violate these rules.
• Value Drug Mart and Apple Drug reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the contest in the event of technical failures, unauthorized intervention, or other issues beyond their control.

11. Agreement to Rules

Participation in the contest constitutes full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these official rules by the entrant.
